Mockingjay...Need I Say More?

How could this book possibly be better than the previous two? Oh my! It does, without a doubt, live up to the hype and expectations. What excitement, danger, and suspense! Suzanne Collins has outdone herself. If you haven't read this book or the first two, get yourself on over to the library and check them out...or if you have to, buy them! You will want to reread them!

Here's a little recap (without giving too much away):
  • Peeta's mind has been 'hi-jacked'

  • Gale is training for combat after the annihilation of District 12

  • Katniss is trying to sort it all out and wondering how she ended up in the hospital after her second round of The Hunger Games

The rebellion starts with Katniss pegged for its symbol...she is The Mockingjay. She bands together with some old friends, Finnick, Haymitch, and Johanna, just to name a few. Their goal: to wipe out the Capitol and the Peacekeepers.

They embark on a mission towards their dangerous goal with only a few weapons and little manpower, but what is lacking in arms and troops is made up with determination, grit, and the thirst for revenge.

Be warned!: You will read until your eyeballs hurt, sitting on the edge of seat, willing each page to move towards the conclusion. This book is not for the faint of heart, it is gruesome at times, which makes it even more chilling.

Oh, and the ending? Let me put it this way: I couldn't have been more shocked, or more satisfied.

Happy Reading! Until next time...
